"Beautiful Water Carrier", original Vienna Art Nouveau bronze/ivory bowl for business cards

Fine and rare original Art Nouveau bonze and ivory figure or bowl for businesss cards, it was executed in the early 20th century in Vienna by important Ukrainian-Austrian sculptor Peter Tereszczuk (1875 in Wybudow, Ukraine - 1963 in Vienna). The high point of the work of Peter Tereszczuk lay in the years between 1895 and 1925 in Vienna. In collecting circles he is well-known for his bronze figures , which patinated typically brown, 15-30 cm highly and is occasionally with ivory in corroding provided (for example ivory-carved faces). They are at the lower, rear edge with the signature P.Tereszczuk (single type character) and stamps of two foundries: Tereszczuk and Ullmann provided (T and U as capital letters inserted into each other and squarely frame) or Arthur Rubinstein ( letter AR). As representative of art nouveau are by him not only small sculptures, but also a set of figural over-formed utensils developed (for instance inkstands).
